Meet the Executive Team
Grant Carlson, P.Eng.
Grant Carlson, P.Eng., is a mining executive and consultant with nearly two decades of experience developing complex, site-based projects across exploration, engineering, permitting, and operations. His career has focused on translating technically rigorous mineral systems into responsibly developed, long-life projects which is well matched to Reposit Carbon’s strategy for permanent carbon removal.
He has led projects from early technical and economic studies through permitting, construction, and active operations, with deep expertise in magnesium-rich and ultramafic rock systems central to enhanced rock weathering.
His background spans mineral exploration, mine planning, environmental permitting, and operational leadership in British Columbia and internationally. Grant has worked extensively with regulators, technical consultants, and Indigenous communities, overseeing projects that require conservative assumptions, robust measurement, and long-term environmental accountability.
Prior to Reposit Carbon, Grant led the development of the Cogburn project under the working name Badger Minerals, guiding its evolution from a conventional mineral asset into a carbon removal–focused platform. As Chief Executive Officer of Reposit Carbon, he brings disciplined engineering judgment, site-specific geological understanding, and a phased development mindset to scaling enhanced rock weathering as a credible, verifiable pathway for permanent carbon removal.
Grant holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mining Engineering from the University of British Columbia and is a registered Professional Engineer in British Columbia.
Cooper Quinn
Cooper Quinn is a mining and mineral exploration executive with deep technical expertise in ultramafic and mafic systems, project evaluation, and early-stage development. He brings a global perspective on geology, mineral processing, and carbon mineralization to Reposit Carbon’s technical strategy.
Most recently, Cooper served as President and Chief Executive Officer of CO₂ Lock Corp., a carbon capture and storage subsidiary of FPX Nickel Corp., where he led the company’s technical and strategic efforts to advance carbon mineralization solutions derived from mine-hosted ultramafic rocks. He has also held executive leadership roles with Canterra Minerals and Osprey Gold Development, contributing to project advancement, capital markets strategy, and corporate development.
Earlier in his career, Cooper worked as a Senior Geologist with Underworld Resources and Lion One Metals and has been involved in exploration and development projects across North America, Greenland, Europe, and the South Pacific. His experience spans project generation, technical evaluation, acquisitions, and due diligence for private equity and public companies.
At Reposit Carbon, he is responsible for technical strategy, geological assessment, and carbon removal pathway development, ensuring that projects are grounded in defensible science, conservative assumptions, and methodologies capable of meeting the highest standards of durability and verification.
Cooper holds a degree in Earth Science from Simon Fraser University.
Alan Savage
Alan C. Savage is a seasoned financial executive, company founder, and board leader with more than four decades of experience building, financing, and governing public and private companies across natural resources, life sciences, and industrial sectors. He brings deep capital markets expertise and disciplined financial stewardship to Reposit Carbon at a pivotal stage of growth.
Alan is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Lonsdale Capital Corp., a private investment firm he founded in 2017. Through Lonsdale, he has focused on long-term value creation, active governance, and strategic capital deployment across a range of industries. Most recently, he served as Chief Financial Officer and as a Director of Innovotech, Inc., a publicly traded life sciences company.
Earlier in his career, Alan founded Imperial Metals Corp. in 1978 and served as its President, Chief Executive Officer, and Director until 1986. He later founded Southern Gold Resources Ltd. in 1981, where he served as President for more than three decades, through 2017. These founding roles reflect a long track record of taking companies from inception through growth, financing, and public-market maturity.
In addition to his executive leadership, Alan has held numerous board and senior governance positions. These include Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Doublestar Resources Ltd.; Chairman of Prime Mining Corp.; and directorships with NorZinc Ltd., EACOM Timber Corp., Redtail Metals Corp., Sable Resources Ltd., Epicore BioNetworks, Inc., Consolidated Van Anda Gold Ltd., RSI International Systems, Inc., and Pacgen Life Science Corp. He also served as Chief Financial Officer and Director of Departure Bay Capital Corp. and as President of New Canamin Resources Ltd.
At Reposit Carbon, Alan applies this breadth of experience to oversee financial strategy, governance, and capital formation, supporting the company’s mission to deliver credible, scalable, and permanent carbon removal solutions.
He is an alumni of the University of Victoria, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 1960.
