Environmental Test Work Update
Environmental testing continues at the Cogburn mineral deposit. To date, 16 acid-base accounting (ABA) samples have been completed, and four humidity cell tests are underway to assess the environmental characteristics of crushed olivine rock from the project.
Results from the ABA testing have classified all samples as strongly non-acid generating under MEND (1998) guidelines, based on Net Neutralization Potential (NNP) and Neutralization Ratio (NR) measurements. Preliminary results from the humidity cell testing, covering the first 11 weeks of a planned 40-week program, show no signs of acid generation or elevated metal release under neutral pH conditions. These findings continue to support the project’s positive environmental profile.

Advancing Bulk Sampling Plans
Reposit Carbon has applied to the BC Ministry of Mining and Critical Minerals for permission to collect a 2,000-tonne bulk sample from the Emory Zone of the Cogburn mineral deposit. Subject to regulatory approval, which is anticipated in mid-2026, an initial 60-tonne sample will be collected to support ongoing carbon removal testing.

Completion of Asbestos Detection Testing
Testing conducted by EMSL Canada found no detectable asbestos in samples collected from the Cogburn Project. Health and safety remain a top priority, and monitoring and testing will continue as part of ongoing research and development activities.

Badger Minerals Wins Frontier Carbon Alkalinity Challenge
Badger Minerals was selected as the winner of the Frontier Carbon Alkalinity Challenge, an initiative backed by Meta, Stripe, Shopify, and Google to help advance carbon removal technologies. The recognition highlights the scale and potential of the Cogburn deposit for carbon mineralization.
Frontier is an Advance Market Commitment (AMC) that works to accelerate the development of carbon removal technologies by creating guaranteed future demand for high-quality carbon removal. The Alkalinity Challenge was designed to identify gigaton-scale olivine deposits with the potential to support large-scale carbon mineralization.
Badger’s application was based on the size, location, and mineralogy of the Cogburn deposit. As the winning applicant, Badger received a $5,000 cash prize and looks forward to exploring potential partnership opportunities with Frontier as it continues to advance the Cogburn Project.

Initial Carbon Dioxide Absorption Test Results
Initial testing conducted at the National Research Council (NRC) laboratory at the University of British Columbia confirmed the carbon absorption potential of material from the Cogburn deposit. During the test, a sample of crushed rock was exposed to CO₂-saturated water for 24 to 36 hours. Thermogravimetric analysis indicated that the sample absorbed approximately 1% CO₂ over the testing period.
These results demonstrate the carbon sequestration potential of the Cogburn deposit and provide early validation of the project’s carbon removal capabilities. Additional testing is planned to better understand the material’s overall carbon absorption capacity and reaction rates.

New Executive Team Appointed to Advance Cogburn Carbon Dioxide Removal Project
Badger Minerals announced the appointment of a new executive team to advance the Cogburn Carbon Project and explore its potential as a source of alkalinity for a range of carbon dioxide removal pathways.
Grant Carlson, P.Eng., joined as Chief Executive Officer and brings more than 20 years of experience in mine operations, mining consulting, and executive leadership. Cooper Quinn joined as Chief Technology Officer and brings extensive expertise in ultramafic systems, project evaluation, and early-stage development. Prior to joining Badger Minerals, he served as President and CEO of CO2 Lock Corp., a carbon capture and storage subsidiary of FPX Nickel Corp. Alan Savage joined as Chief Financial Officer and brings more than four decades of experience as a financial executive, company founder, and board leader across the natural resource, life sciences, and industrial sectors.
Together, the leadership team brings the technical, operational, and financial expertise needed to advance Badger Minerals’ project at the Cogburn mineral deposit, develop its carbon removal opportunities, and support future project growth.

Strategic Shift to Carbon Dioxide Removal
Following an initial review of the Cogburn deposit, Badger Minerals announced a strategic decision to focus on carbon dioxide removal (CDR) as the primary development pathway for the deposit. The magnesium-rich silicate rocks that make up the Cogburn deposit have the ability to absorb CO₂ from the atmosphere. When magnesium-rich silicate rocks are exposed to air and rain, they slowly react with CO₂ and form stable carbonate minerals. This reaction removes CO₂ from the atmosphere and stores it in solid, stable, mineral form.
Ongoing laboratory and field testing will evaluate a range of carbon removal pathways and technologies. Potential development concepts include quarrying and crushing the material to increase its surface area and reaction rates, then utilizing it as a construction material, soil conditioner, consumable in carbon removal reactors, or for acid neutralization applications. Future testing will help determine the most effective commercial pathway for the project, and additional updates will be provided as work progresses.

Acquisition of Cogburn Magnesium Deposit
Badger Minerals announced the acquisition of the Cogburn magnesium deposit, a significant magnesium resource located approximately 140 kilometers east of Vancouver, British Columbia. The deposit hosts a historical diamond-drill-defined resource (Hatch, 2003) estimated at 25 million tonnes grading 24.5% magnesium.
Magnesium is a lightweight metal with a wide range of applications across the automotive, aerospace, defence, industrial, agricultural, pharmaceutical, and consumer products sectors. A variety of potential applications for the Cogburn deposit will be evaluated to determine the most promising path forward for the project.
